I just found out that there is a printable Q on the Walgreen's website . This one is for $25 for transfer, the one on RA is for $30. This is the first time that I have seen any Q for Walgreen's. I wonder if they will honor competitor's Qs. If so I will be adding to them to my circle.

I went out to Walgreens website and couldn't find the Q. Could you paste a link or PM me? Thanks.

You CAN transfer from CVS to RA and back to CVS and use a coupon each time. You can only use one coupon per day at CVS. So if you have prescriptions (I have 6 per month) you learn to stagger them and make frequest visits to CVS/RA. Last month we were just too busy with everything and left them at CVS and just got refills. I now feel like I lost out on 6 x $30 from Riteaid. When I have to pay a co-pay of $10-50 each depending on medication type, those gift cards go a long way for other items family needs. We even have taken to buying Milk, eggs, bread and other items (on sale) at the stores using the gift cards. We even buy birthday/holiday cards for people. Those cards can add up quick. These gift cards are also great when you want a quick soda and dont feel like paying for it.

They have been very picky the last few times at two of the CVS's that I go to. At one they would not let me get a card for an RX that I had there and transferred to Ralph's and back to them. Someone (the pharmacist?) had written a note on the paperwork that comes with the RX that this was transfered in and back again. The other one gave me a $10 GC for a Q that I had from Target when I picked up one RX for my husband, but when I went to p/u another one that had been called in the same time, there was a note that I had already received a GC and it was one to a person.

I need to p/u another new RX that wasn't able to go through the insurance at that time(something that I had filled on a previous RX at a different pharmacy) and I will see if they will take the new Q from Von's. I picked up one for myself that they let me use the Target Q on at the same time as my husband's so I will see what happens.

I guess I will stop frequenting these CVs's and go to the tird that hasn't been giving me any problem, yet. I also can transfer to other chains, so I guess CVS will not be getting as much business from me. I liked the fact that I also earn ECBs on the RX, but I don't want any hassles, either.

A word of caution! Is it really worth the coupons if you are prescribed a drug that may have a fatal reaction with another drug you take that is at a different pharmacy? It is safer to have ALL your prescriptions at one pharmacy, if you don't then at least tell each pharmacy you have a prescription at what all you are taking. Please don't gamble with your life or that of a family member!!!!!

I transfer my Rx back and forth between Kroger and Rite Aid all the time. It only a script for Claritin though.

I am from Oklahoma as well and I have been able to use coupons from California (where I currently live) when I am vacationing for transferring prescriptions. These coupons usually come in the ads in CA but I didn't see them in the ads in OK. I was able to transfer once, no problem, but if I were you (seeing as you said you live in rural Oklahoma) if CVS is more than the 25.00 GC value of gas away from you, then I would stick with wal-mart.

Happiness, you can look for trades on the trading board for one thing. Plus, keep an eye out in your local paper. One of my grocery store ads has one nearly every week. Also ask any senior citizen friends or neighbors. I have found that they keep up with that sort of stuff.

You can also ask your local pharmacy (a nice tech) where there may be transf coupons available. They would know where folks are getting them probably.

It is worth the hunt!
