eisor, you did an excellent job on compilling the information. it is very useful. I have a question about post it notes. my 2nd (dd) and 3rd grader (ds) need about 20 packs between the 2. in addition i need some for their homework. whats the best price on these? i have seen them in rite aid buy 1 get 1 i believe but i dont know what their price is. any advice is useful because post its are the most expensive item on their list. thank you

You know, I've been been trying to find a good deal myself. I'm almost thinking the dollar store might be a good bet.

Post-Its are SOOO expensive and I'd love to get a reasonable price on some. But, at this point, I haven't really found anything. You might want to post in the deal seeker forum.

Thank-you sooo, sooo much for taking the time to put this together!!
This is the first year in 6 years (we've been homeschooling) I've had to purchase school supplies and it's awesome to have everything in one place!

What are the ziplock bags used for in the class? Just curious. I've sent them for the last 3 years and haven't seen anything come home in them, and DS can't remember using them in class. DH said "The teacher takes her leftovers home in them." Ha Ha. But seriously what are they for?

What grade?

I know that sometimes teachers use them to hold flashcards, money, counting items, etc. But, this would all be in elementary school.
