I don't have school age children yet, but I do have one entering a 4K program at the grade school. I am just wondering what happens normally with supply lists? Does the school send you a list in the mail?

It really depends. Here, if a child is already enrolled in a school district, they get a mailed packet that contains details on who their teachers will be next year & what supplies they need.

If not enrolled, they have to go to registration usually a week or so before school starts. They can get the list there.

Also, a lot of the local stores have the grade level lists for all the local schools.

Target had the two pocket folders for $.10 (non-sale) but everything else was much more than what is listed here.

I've updated the list with next week's Office Depot sales. Staples has a sneak peak up on their site, but it doesn't include any school supplies.

I've also grayed out any sales that are no longer valid.

If you have noticed any sales ads or prices that I may have missed, please let me know.

Kmart has there pens ( 10 pk) 3 for a $1 this week, and mechanical pen( 5) in pack .. 3 for $1... they also have folders and notebooks( like High school musical .. 2 for 3.
Walgreens is going to have pencil boxes @ 2 for $1 next week.
Walmart has roseart colored pencils @ 6o cents.
