3 - I don't personally use the ad that is put in the post...I also use the paper one, or I'll go to shaws.com if I don't have my paper copy on-hand because I can zoom in there and do a search for a specific item! So, I like the coupon matchups in the first post! | Thanks for all your work on this, Heather! I do agree with all of the above though. Honestly, I never even read the ad that's posted in the thread. Can we just link to the ad on shaws.com to help with download times, or is that a no-no? |

| Re: Shaw's Q Match-ups 6/6-6/12/08 + Match-up Format Discussion Hey Heather
Just want to say thanks! And having done a store forum here before I know what a big load of work it is to do all those matchups. I like the majority, prefer the old way and I think you'd burn out trying to list every coupon matchup real fast! But you rock for doing it and seeking out feedback from everyone!

I dont understand posts like this one above . If the sale is on ALL detergent, then how are each of these coupons relevant? IE, isnt the sale on one specific type of ALL detergent. Another example, above,,, it says sale on Old Spice or Secret deoderant... but the coupons listed are for body wash and etc. Can you use those other coupons just because its the same brand?! That would be awesome, but it doesnt make sense if the actual product on sale is deifferent that the product you have a Q for.
PS here in rhode island, we say coo pon, not Q pon. It took me forever to figure out why everyone uses a capital Q ! LOL ! | Sorry it took so long to get back to you. The above example may not be the best one to give me for your question, but I understand what you're asking. A lot of time Shaw's will have all sorts of laundry detergent on sale, including the S&M, so I included those Q's with the description of the sale. I tried to weed out most of the Q's that weren't relevant, but I did miss some. I figured that all of you are smart enough to do that on your own! I know how that could have been misinterpreted. If the Q states one item and you use it on another, that would be fraud. So of course, I wouldn't suggest you do that.
On a side note, I say both Q and coo pon. It's just short hand. Makes it easier for me since I hate typing!!

| Re: Shaw's Q Match-ups 6/6-6/12/08 + Match-up Format Discussion lol, one week DH came home and I had HCW, Shaws.com and the paper ad all open...he obviously thought I was nuts. I think linking to just the add on Shaw's website would be great and it allows for the nifty zomm mouseover thing (which I try to do here all the time, lol).
I do kind of miss working with the other Shaws shoppers to find the really good deals. I can definitely see you getting tired of matching every item even if it had only one insert coupon every week. No need to overdo it, although bless you for even trying.
I think a poll with multiple optins would work well (can we make one with the option to pick more than one?). Then you could ask something like link to ad/ad in thread, best deal matchup/all deal matchups, etc. If not a thread for each poll would be interesting.
