so...if this actually goes through, could you get in trouble if you followed your spouse if you had a intuition that he/she was cheating? Could you be called a "stalker"? I just don't get it! I think he was reasonable, especially if the other man had a history of abuse. I wouldn't want my child around that person either!

yeah but if you read it he said he read the email because he feared for his young daughter's safety. He figured she was in contact with her ex and taking his daughter to the abusive guy's house and indeed she was.

My husband and I don’t read each other’s emails out of just a general respect of privacy, but if he did read mine, I might be annoyed, but I certainly wouldn’t be having him carted off to jail for it. I teased him last night when I read about this that he’d better not read/print any of my email coupons or I’d have him arrested

She sounds jacked that not only did she get caught cheating, he applied for custody of their child. This must be her way of retaliating.

And that prosecutor is on crack. What a waste of taxpayer’s dollars and the city’s time.

I believe it says a lot of the wife's character (well besides the cheating) that she is willing to go into a court of law and have her private life all out there.

This was in 2003. Heck I hacked into my exhusband's email (and yes I do mean HACK) 2 weeks after he left to see what he was up to (he basically moved out without warning and refused to speak to me) and found out he was cheating long term. Prior to him leaving, we both had the same passwords. He apparently changed the password after leaving. Now while I don't feel bad for hacking, and this was probably illegial, he should have better protected himself from allowing me find his password.
