Very interesting...
I am guilty of leaving things in my "online cart". They are more likely to send me a coupon within the next 48 hours...

I do the same... online and in B&M stores.
I abandon shopping carts all the time online. I will browse the clearance and when I find something I might be interested in I put it in the cart. Then, at the end, I pick and choose from what is in the cart. Often I will then decide that what I am looking at is not worth the shipping charges and I will just abandon the whole thing. Since no one has to restock the items I don't feel to guilty about it.
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!
Interesting article. Not surprised by it though.
I haven't done any online shopping since last Christmas and probably won't until this coming holiday season. And only then if there is free shipping.
Nevah, evah pay full price!
Haves & Wishes Please PM me if you would like to trade! I don't check the database on a daily basis.
I have abandoned online shopping when I discovered the shipping was more than I anticipated. I rarely abandon B&M store shopping since I calculate everything before I go in, but have had them take an item off here and there if they won't take my coupon.
How about "Get a calculator"? With all the technology we have I'm such there's one built into the cell phone, ipod, or other devices that people carry around. Or at least try to do the math in your head. Or maybe the stores should have built-in bar code readers on their carts to help keep a running total. I think Bloom has something like this. They ask cashiers to provide a total while they're still scanning items to see where they stand, or to have necessities like health care basics scanned first, said Dan Fishback, chief executive of DemandTec Inc., a retail technology company. When they hit their limit, they forgo what's left in the basket.
It's 35 cents off of ground round,Baby, cut that coupon out! That's what I love about Sunday

That's what I was thinking!! Forty years ago, my mom would carry a little pad of paper with her, and add as she went along. When my son was younger, I'd take him along and he'd add in his head as we went through the store (he's a human calculator!). And several years back, some of the Kroger stores had calculators on the shopping cart handles. That didn't last though. They got beat up and didn't handle the rain in the parking lots too well.
But seriously...if you're not going to figure it out before you get there...add it up as you go!
