sweetie, i'm sorry, i didn't understand the article
(note just back from trip and exhausted)!
Can you explain, about the airlines, in your own words..
and lol, let me tell about my trip!!
My plane was supposed to take off at 7:30, i was there at 6..
it finally left The gate, at 10:30 that night, on the runway for an hr, watching 7 planes go ahead of us and at least 5 more behind us.
Had to transfer planes, had 10 minutes to run to other concourse.. my plane was boarding.. NO One would help me w/ a wheelchair, i either had to run for it, or wait at least 10 more hrs, for the next flight out..
I got one girl to help me, and we made a run for it
(figuratively speaking, as she was walking as fast as she could in high heels and i was walking as fast as my legs would let me)..
I was the last one on board! Yay!!
When we arrived at 3:30 Am, i was told, too bad, no more wheelchair service, the airline would not help me.. UNreal!!!!!
Luckily, my seatmate, wrangled a wheelchair away from some airport person, who didn't want to let the wheelchairs out of sight.. greeat..
then another total stranger, helped pushed me, to luggage, which was a loooooooooong loooooooooong way off..
.
(I have rhematoid arthritis, i can only do a certain amt of walking..i'm still paying for how much i did that night, but hey i'm home!! lol)
.
and obviously angels do exist..
Lets see, ohh, airports, had to drive 3 hrs, in an unconditioned car, in
106 degree heat, to get to the airport.. bc the other nearest one to me, charged
over 300 more ...
.
and lets not even get into the ridiculousness of them asking 2.00 for a drink when you've paid over 300 -600 plus, for a ticket!
(I wouldn't fly that airline.. mine came w/ free drinks.. yee haw!)
ohhh yeah the day of free hotel vouchers are looooooong over.(and refunds). and its insane to expect people to wait 12 hrs or more at the airport!
Especially, Especially when you have disabilities!!
