Anybody?
Foor those of you who have tried or use both which do you like better and why? Personally I like iOS better because I think it had a better interface. I haven't tried ics for android yet.
Anybody?

I have an Android Bionic, my dh has an iPhone.
We got them at the same time - he was convinced the iPhone was what it was all about. I did my research and decided Android was best for me.
It wasn't a week before he was asking if I wanted to trade
I think he likes the swype feature on the Android. Can't get it on the iPhone. Also, the Google maps with navigation feature rocks on my phone. All he has is a plain Google map. He still has to use a GPS in addition to the phone.
iOS is Apple's operating system, like iPhone. I'm not very experienced with Android, but my perception is that it's better suited for tinkerers and customizers than iPhone, and iPhone is more out-of-the-box user friendly. I like that the iOS and the device are one company. I'm somewhat of a technophobe, so I love the simplicity and seamlessness of iPhone. I wish it ran flash, though, but I don't miss that enough to consider switching to a Droid.

I don't understand about the GPS and iPhone. I have an older iPhone and have used it to route many long distance trips, and the map system and GPS on it navigate me just fine.

Yes, it will route nicely. But once you see the navigation feature added on Android phones, it's a whole new level. Voice directed, 3-D navigation that is accurate to the tee. When you get to the destination, the house/building at the address you were looking for pops up on your screen with the prompt "your destination is on the left/right".
You're right about tweekers vs. out of the box people. I love to tweek, but dh doesn't have the time or the inclination. He just wants what I have, without hunting for anything.![]()
My kids will say iPhone all the way, and they poo poo my Android.
Oh, no way. I hate that turn by turn voice activated navigation stuff. I borrowed a friend's device once and never again. I prefer simplicity which is why I always carried a regular old road atlas with me until this easy to use feature. It's a highlighted route with a pin that indicates where I am on the route. Perfect. I much prefer maps to street views. I'd toss a talking device out of a moving car; I hate them that much. I am so not a fiddler or tweaker.
