Love working with animals.

Love working with children

Dislike working with adults.

(the children make the 5 minutes a day interacting with the adults worth it :D )

As a SAHM:

Good - getting to take my kids where they needed to go myself, being able to spend more time with them and too many others to mention.

Not good - no pay, no pats on the back, occasional implication by others that I haven't made a contribution in our household.

Would I do it this way again if I had to do it over? Yes.

Good - Work from a home office; lots of flexibility with hours, so can take kids to and from school. Love what I do - was lucky to to find a job that I love, where I can work from home. Only took 20+ years.

Not good - lack of face time with colleagues, so sometimes feel a little disconnected from my team.

What I love and hate about being a sahm!
1. I love that my 4 yr old goes to preschool mwF from 7 to 5 he will go pre K next yr 7 t 5 mtwthF
2. I love that I can go workout 2 hrs those morning alone!
3. I love that I am my own boss!
4. I love that I can spend time with my family without worrying about a job!
Things I don't enjoy!
1. I do miss my career at times cutting hair. I use to make really good money doing it in ohio
2. I don't enjoy not having my own money anymore.
3. I really don't enjoy cleaning my house or doing laundry.

Well, I'm technically not working right now, but I'm still employed lol. I teach math at a community college, so I took this semester off since I'm pregnant. I plan on going back in September.

Things I Love:
- the flexibilty (I can take off a semester if needed, and I can decide when I'm available to teach)
- my students (for the most part, they are hard working, dedicated, and want to succeed)
- the ability to teach the material how I see fit (as long as the material is taught, doesn't matter how I got there)
- the commute (12 minutes from my house)
- the pay

Things I Don't Love
- after being there for 3.5 yrs, I still get confused as a student (I'm only 28, so I understand that)
- the union (enough said)
- all the politics of the workplace

But I really do like my job. I am very lucky to have this position that works so well with my family's needs and schedule.

Liked: Hiring-knowing that you were making someone's life better, giving someone an opportunity, getting to meet new people
Dislike:Firing, dealing with stupid personality conflicts between staff


Current Job: SAHM
Like: Being with LO all day, freedom to set our schedule
Dislike: It sometimes gets lonely, sometimes the days get long when LO is having a bad day.
