Family FUN vacations

Any suggestions for FUN family vacations??

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those mother's who want to spend a week in museums, looking at artifacts, hiking, etc.

I want something fun. We did Disney last year. We normally go to Myrtle Beach, but I am so sick of that place I could scream (been going for 35 years).

I haven't sold DH on a cruise yet, but want somewhere where the kids will have lots of fun.

Kids are 12 & 6.

PLEASE share your ideas.

Have you done Universal Studios, Busch Gardens or Sea World. We've been to all of those plus Disney. (My parents live In FL so we go there a lot.) Best value is Busch because they have a great price on season passes. You can go all year for about the same price as one day at the other Florida.parks.

This is what we did one year - bought season passes to Six Flags. Then planned a vacation trip to go to four different Six Flags parks. Once you buy the season passes they are good at all of the parks nationwide.

We are doing a cruise this year to the Bahamas. The cruise ship has a ton to do for the kids. Mine are 12 and almost 10.

DH and I went to Jamaica on our honeymoon and loved it. We stayed at Sandals but they have a Beaches all inclusive for families and we planning on taking the kids maybe next year. We stayed in Ochos Rios.

What cruise line are you using? I'm looking at Carnival Dream, but like I said.... still trying to sell DH on the cruise idea. We've done it before, but he just feels confined.

How that is possible, I don't know.

Just because I am vacation dreaming right now... how about?

Cabin camping - like jellystone - they have pools and kid activities lots of familes

or a different obx beach besides Myrtle (give me the lowdown there - that's where I am headed in summer) - my friends do Corolla with the horses - they think it's cool

how about VA beach? or Ocean City MD (that's where we usually go and it's nice)

how about a staycation where you do local stuff and maybe do all the stuff the kids bug you to do but you never have time or money for (like sleepovers with friends or Chuck E cheese)

I did FL for Christmas and 1 day at Disney (hated it - I still can not figure out what those people expect me to do with a 2 YO in line for 90 minutes with NO STROLLER.)

We are going on Carnival. I forget what ship. I will have to look at our documents when I get home.
