Anyone use the phone that AARP endorses? $10 a month. Whats some of the experiences anyone has had?
I was quite tempted when it first came out. They had a simple cell phone with big buttons. I don't really use all the bells and whistles anyway, and it seems like whenever I need to use my phone I'm not wearing my reading glasses. When the phone is ringing and you are driving in traffic, it is NOT a good time to dig through a purse for glasses! So I usually just let it ring. The phone tempted me more than anything else.![]()
Basically, you got a certain number of minutes each month for that rate, and could pay additional if you needed more minutes.
We ended up sticking with TracFone, because it was still a little cheaper each month, we already had the phone and had quite a few unused minutes on it.
I know with T mobile..when you purchase the card...it will eventually expire That is my guess with it.
I don't know on the other, you should probably call them.

We live in a rural town too where coverage is spotty but my hubby got a wilson signal booster from www.wilsonboost.com and now we get much better service and when he travels for work he doesn't get so many dropped calls. Its been awesome. I know they have all different kids of boosters and they work all the different cell phones/carriers. Ours is the car one (since my hubby travels a lot) but I know there are house ones or just cell ones. Good luck!
