Ohio peeps...winter weather!

Here in the northwestern part of the big Buckeye, we have been having temps in the 40's and sometimes even 50's with very minimal snow this season. Those of us that are used to Lake Erie on us every year know what I mean....don't you find this weather just a touch unsettling? Everyone around here notices it, but nobody talks about it...like it's a bad omen or something! Even the weather people on our local news station don't seem to say much.

I dont live in Ohio but I live at the tip of Lake Michigan and I am so used to it bringing in feet of snow on us that this year Im a little scared of what is coming. I mean for us not to get snow until mid January is scary. Last year we had a blizzard in Feb. so Im waiting for another one of those to hit.

I'm a couple hours from Lake Erie, but it sure is cold here too!! If it's not the then it's . I am sooooo looking forward to the weather and I'll try to to complain at all. The summer is so much easier to adapt to then the winter. I am dreading shoveling snow at 6am. Not just regular snow either, massive snow. What ever happened to 1 inch/2 inches here or there. Not liking the 15 inches at once repeated a couple more times in one week.

How's about since Ev first suggested the 'let it snow' commment, that it snow for once in Cali? Give the rest of us a break.

Then you have places like south Louisiana that vertually never snows. First snow I saw I was in the 7th grade.

Here in Central Ohio, yesterday it was 50 something degrees and today, maybe it will hit 30. I am afraid of the blizzard of 1977-1978 hitting again. Schools were out for almost a month, if I remember correctly. The roof fell in on our second floor apartment from the weight of the snow on the 3rd floor roof. My 20 yr old and 10 yr old don't really know what kind of weather that would be. They hear DH & I reminiscing about that winter. Part of me is afraid of snow in April and May.
