Need prayers, hopes, good wishes/thoughts for my grandson's heart surgery tomorrow Jan. 3.

Not sure where to put this...but any of the above "positives" are greatly appreciated for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!

His name is Stephen...on a soccer scholarship at Univ. of CA, so is physically fit, has never smoked, no alcohol, no drugs, and when he had the first scary symptom of fainting and nausea, alternate racing heart beat and too slow
heart beat, we had no idea until four days of testing in the hospital and multiple trips back to the hospital in an ambulance, that this condition could cause death at anytime and surgery was needed.

Please bump this up for me.

Thanks to all who posted...it means so much to me. The surgery is at 11am this morning, so I will be off this site, then back on when I get home to hopefully share good news about the surgery.

I had hoped to post yesterday, but it was a long day and I got back at 11pm.

The surgery took longer than anticipated because it became more complicated than originally anticipated. After the procedure planned was finished, they tested the heart and it was still racing, so what they did, didn't work. So then they went to the other side of the heart and did the same procedure and they think it will work.

He has a lot of pain, as expected, but the swelling is the worry now, and of course, we hope no infection.
