When my son had his retainer the wire popped out. Not his fault so they made another retainer and didn't charge us. When my son lost his retainer and he needed a new one they took another impression and we were only charged cost (which was $250) . Now he has braces and that was $800+ wasted.

See, I don't want it fixed - I just want my money back. Its not even 3 months old so it should certainly be under warranty. However, the dentist is shady as can be.

Were you aware beforehand that your dentist is shady? Did you ask if there was warranty and how long it was?

BTW, was the price they charged you too low compared to other prices offered by competitors? Low prices outside the range of competitor's prices should serve as a warning to us of the quality we'll be getting.

I suggest you talk to the clinic manager, if there's any, and ask for a full refund, if that is possible. If not, ask if they will fix it at no cost to you and see what they say. BUT if you don't trust this clinic, it would be best to just ask for a full refund and go to another one with a good reputation. If they refuse and say you're SOL since you paid the lowest price, maybe the your state AGO consumer's protection division can provide assistance to you. Good luck!
