What a wonderful daughter you have raised! I wish there were more people out there willing to stick their necks out to help people like your daughter did!![]()
Oldest daughter (22) is in Colorado with her BF's family. Today she was having lunch outside the lodge and a girl came running up to that area and asked if anyone knew CPR. My daughter ran over to where she saw a 15-year old boy clutching his throat - his family was standing around him paralyzed, doing nothing - so she did the Heimlich and a throat sweep and cleared it up - she was prepared to start CPR if needed. She had gone and washed her hands and was back at her table eating a sandwich when the medics arrived so it was several minutes later.
I am so proud of her for being alert enough to help that family - she said dozens of people were standing around just staring - even the 2 friends she was having lunch with have had training but were not able to react.
This is the 2nd time she has saved someone from choking - the first was a little girl eating a strawberry. She just happened to look up and see her - she made no sound and nobody had noticed. All that training she received has paid off.

That's awesome!
I had sanity once upon a time I promise. It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it
.
Good for her. It's great she is one of those very few special persons who can react in times like that.
#1 due Sept. 5th
You're probably right about the freezing up thing, but she's a special one who just reacts and jumps right in there.
