Got an Android phone!!!! What APPs do you recomend?

I just got an optimus slider!! Love it but kinda makes me feel I may not be 'smart' enough for a smartphone!! LOl. I'm figuring it out though!!
So what apps from Android do you use?

the one ap i cant leave without is the findmydroid app. with 4 kids and a busy life i just cant keep track of my cell. with this app u choose a codeword and then when u lose it u can text that code word to ur phone and it will auto turn up the volume and ring it also has a gps thing too could not live without it.

LOVE my android phone!!! I like Myxer to get ringtones, FML is a funny app that has lots of funny stories about crappy things that have happened to people (totally makes me feel better about my own life!), of course angry birds and fruit ninja. One app I just found was shown to me by a doctor I work with. Its called epocrates, and it has info on all meds. I love it for work, but it would be good to look up side effects and stuff. I really like my Kindle app - I'm reading Pride and Prejudice on it right now. DH has the Netflix app and watches TV shows a lot. Google Sky Map is cool too. Shazam is prolly my favorite, you can use it to "listen" to a few seconds of a song on the radio or whatever, and it will tell you what song it is and who sings it.

And how could I forget Screebl. Keeps your phone on, but you have to remember to turn it off if you don't need it on, or it will run your battery down.

I don't have a smartphone, but I would suggest Spotify for music. It's free (I think) and you get to choose the songs you listen to....just make a playlist from their database and play...not like Pandora where you just get to listen to whatever it throws out at you.

ETA: Ok, its not free. You have to have a paid account to use it on your phone...something about the cost involved in the different way the music will be delivered in the mobile version than the regular version.
However, there is apparently a way to scrobble your Spotify music with Last.FM which is free. It's kind of a pain, but you would still only be listening to the exact songs you have in your playlist...instead of suggested songs with Pandora.

You probably know that you can get a free version of the paid ones I recommended, but I highly recommend MyPantry2. The developer is working on the ability to scan our coupons, and match them with our lists. That will be fabulous. This was one that I felt was a money saver, and worth the price of the phone and the app.

abond0017: I have Jango on my computer and Ipod touch prob same thing and it is free. I will ck and see if I can get it on Android.

Tarayn: first app I got was myxer cuz this is the first phone I have been able to download my own ringtones on. LOl. Gonna ck out that FML.

I also already got Wordsfree (scrabble) I have it on my ipod touch and LOVE it.
ANd Ringdroid, you can edit your ringtones,etc.. I couldnt get editing to work in myxer as easily as ringdroid does.

I use gasbuddy all the time.

I use the weight watccher points calculator app and facebook and ebay apps quite often. You can also get sbtv mobil for the android and you get 2 swagbucks for every 10 videos watched. I have my phone set on wireless when I am at home so I don't have to pay for any data. I leave it on and just walk away..

Jenrose: So are you liking your newphone? My "smartphone" made m feel like I was an idiot for about the firs week. LOL, I kept thinking "maybe I'm not smart enough for a smartphone'. But with my kids help and googling some things I am really starting to like it .
Grocerysmarts is a free app that I like. It is very basic but it matches store items with coupons and gives source of coupons.
Also ck out some from PP. My faves ,so far, are Might pantry 2, FML, and Myxer.
I also have ringdroid, it is for editing ringtones. And I got HAndcent sms it is a messaging ap. For some reason you can't set specific text tones on my phone but with this ap I can personalize em. Plus it gives an instant popup of message (over locked screen) where regular messaging I had to unlock phone,etc to read and respond.
