last day of school!!!!!

trying to keep myself from pulling out the house pieces and putting them all together. My thread is siggy is updated with last nights work.
getting cheeseburger soup into crockpot.
got mom's bed set up.
mending DD's lip since she tried to put her tooth through it...probably with her brother's help.
dishes into dishwasher.
and then just chilling and counting the hours until Mom gets here.

First day of Christmas break for the kids!

My two older grandkids will be here today (should get here any minute, and be here until 3 or 4). They're 8 and almost 12, so they're not constant supervision, like the 2 month old is! I think we'll pull out the sticker box, and let them make cards for their parents for Christmas.

I've started the laundry (have 4 loads today). I'm sure the 8 year old will help with that!

I have to go over the menu for Saturday, and check all of the recipes to make sure I have everything. Then, pull out the ads and make my grocery list. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day!

Besides that, it's just a normal day...housework, trying to catch up on paperwork, cooking...you know the drill!

Going to see Alvin & the Chipmunks movie today.......DD age 11 is meeting a friend (who happens to be a boy........SO not ready for that). Maybe go grab something to eat after the movie. Tonight is a Girl Scouts Christmas Lights Judging......our troop gets to judge the lights in a subdivision and pick the winner, then go for cookies & milk. Should be fun :-)

I'm so there with you! I so want to just veg out today but I must get some cleaning done.

I need to give the kitchen and bathrooms a cleaning today.

But I started reading The Help a few days ago and am hooked! Plus I am determined to get 5 boxes unpacked today. And dh's last gifts are supposed to arrive today so I have to get them wrapped before he gets home.

Dinner is leftovers so no pressure there.

need to pick him up at 11:10
than make final preps for DS7's party at 1
directly thereafter (215)
head to the city for my dentist appt (320)
it's an hour drive
drop off pie plate to Mom
drive back for Christmas show practice at 630

here at home I have 2 hours and 10 minutes
have dishes
3 loads of laundry
wrap 3 gifts
get snacks, drinks, videos ready for the drive into the city and back
mail out my last envelope of the year

Yeah you better just plan on sitting down and reading the help and doing everything next because you won't be able to stay away from it otherwise. I know from experience lol!
