Re: So??? Whatcha doin'today? Wednesday, December 21, 2011
I partially cleaned the kitchen then partially went through daughter's room. She was supposed to go through it, put her shoes away (not yet) and get rid of anything she didn't want. She came out with a couple of black garbage bags full of clothes that no longer fit. I was baffled because we have routinely gone through that room and she has worn the same size for the past couple of years.
The room still looked bad so I went in there. Found a little kid's book under hear bed and a TON of clothes that wouldn't have fit her for years! Mostly tank tops, shorts, skorts and night clothes. Most were kid's sizes and she has not worn those for at least 3 years if not longer. I don't even remember most of the pajamas. Don't remember buying them at all and some are things I know I would never have bought. Maybe they were gifts? I don't even remember them. Also some dress up stuff. She is too old for dress up now.
I found three more bags full of stuff that I got out of there rather quickly. It takes her next to forever to do anything like that. She said after she emptied out her drawers, the little cat was playing in them. I think she was playing with the cats more than anything else.
I am not a neatnick by any means. But I do have some rules. And one is that the shoes she is not wearing need to go in the closet on the shoe rack. I say this because she is constantly in a panic because she can't find two shoes that match. I wouldn't even mind her leaving a couple of pairs out in a convenient spot so long as she keeps the shoes together. But there are shoes all over the room and no mates to be seen.
I still need to go over the counter tops. There is a bunch of junk on there that doesn't belong. But the floor is clean, the dishes are done and the fridge and stove are clean inside and out. I did the microwave the other day and the cupboards not long ago.
