Going to my neighbors house for some food, cocktails and holiday cheer!! Oh, wait....maybe the cheer and cocktails are the same? lol

RELAXING!!!!

I so need this day. I have soooo much going on at work and at home that I just needed a day to sit on the computer and do nothing. I did get up this morning and make a big breakfast and will make dinner tonight, but other than that, Im not doing anything.

Here is to a nice relaxing day to head me into a 8 day stretch at work. Only 13 more days until Christmas!!

So far, I've made about a dozen failed attempts at yarn-around-a-balloon lampshade making. All I've ended up with is a gooey, unmanageable mess. Phooey! I still will be making the actual lamp this afternoon. I just have to come up with a better plan for a lampshade. Meanwhile I'm back on crocheting slippers. I have two more pairs to get done to finish off my crochet gift projects, and I plan to get them both done today. Somewhere between lamp making and cleaning off my kitchen counter because it has amassed some clutter and is annoying me. I love that my husband has been taking charge of domestic duties like cooking and laundry while I'm elbow deep in Christmas craft stuff lately, but... well, but nothing. I'm not going to complain. I'll straighten it, myself, and just be glad he's a great guy who doesn't mind picking up my slack.

So crocheting and lamp making attempts so far today.

Went out to eat breakfast, shopped for a new bed, and home to watch the TEXANS against Bengals in which they WON we are in the play-offs.

Have to take the Halloween decorations to the back house. Cash some checks. Maybe find another string of Christmas lights that match what we already have. Then hopefully we'll drive around and look at Christmas lights. But we are supposed to have freezing fog! So maybe not.

Hubby cooked breakfast this morning. Then we went to pick up our extra newspapers. Came home and waited for the teenager's friend to call, so we could drop her off at their house. While I was waiting, I separated, cut and filed all of today's coupons!! YIPPEEE!! That's done!

After we dropped her off, we took a little road trip to a town about 30 miles away, to look at stuff to re-do our bathroom (a dream we have!). I love little road trips with my hubby! Just the two of us, lots of conversation...and snacks!!

Now, we're all home, and hubby is cooking steaks and fish on the grill. I'm baking potatoes and sweet potatoes. We're having a couple of drinks with dinner. Then, we'll relax on the sofa and watch "Once Upon A Time" together. After that, he'll watch "Walking Dead" and I'll watch "Next Iron Chef".

It's a good day!

Went to church with dd (ds is sick so he stayed home with dh)
Went to CVS & WAGS
Made breakfast for dh and ds
Cleaned the kitchen
Put dd down for a nap
Started laundry
Dh and I took ds out to play and get a little fresh air because it was a surprisingly nice day
Made lunch
Cleaned out both dh and my cars (dh took the cars for the actual vacuum and wash)
More laundry
Put ds down for a nap
Started reorganizing the basement
Put dinner in the oven
Folded laundry
Ordered a bunch of stuff for mil on tru website for store pickup
Finished dinner and ate
Clean kitchen again
Found out tru order was ready so went to pick it up
Went to mil's to drop it off (where I got bombarded with cookware she thinks I need)
Now I'm on my way back to WAGS
Going home for bedtime snack for the kids then bath and bed for them.
Hopefully finish up the wrapping of presents
Then painting dd's vanity that dh and I are refinishing for her room
Then hopefully bed

Well Lets see

made beds in camper
swept camper
cleaned up DH's mess in camper from installing a new faucet
Picked up Christmas cards from Wlmart
DH's buddy came over, picked up a sled and helped DH in the garage for a few
Then friends came over
New toilet upstairs installed
Vanity partially installed downstairs (needs sink drain finished)
Medicine cabinet installed downstairs
Went out to dinner
And somehow my day has disappeared. I don't feel like we got a whole lot done. The bathroom stuff was all accomplished by our friend not really us.

Oh I guess I also got a couple loads of laundry washed in there too but still not enough. And our friends raided my stockpile shelves and took a bunch home.
