I don't understand people

Cheating has been on my mind alot lately, I've had two close friends, both women come forward to me this year and tell me that they are having extra marital affairs. Both of them admittedly, for years. I don't like knowing and am deeply against it. It reflects on thier character, and puts me in a place I don't want to be. Any advice?

Deja Vu - I don't have advice but both of those women that unloaded on you are selfish and thoughtless to put that burden on you. I had a good friend do the same thing years ago. Her husband found out and came to my house and confronted me about it. It sickened me to do it but I didn't want to hurt him any further so I lied to him, telling him I didn't know.

The other wife found out too and the guy my friend was messing around with ended up killing himself.

That is exactly how I am feeling. I wish I didn't know. I don't understand why I needed to know, but now that I do, I am mad that I do......does that make sense?

I told my first friend that I didn't approve, and that I would not lie if her husband asked me to my face. In fact she and I don't speak anymore. Her last text to me was a sob story about how she was feeling alinated by mutual friends of her and her husbands and my response was flatly, that is product of your affair, that people start to pick a side. I don't think she expected me to say to her face Your Having An Affair. She dissolved into her own lies.

My other friend, I love and I know her home life is a mess and she gave me the whole "you're the only one I have ever told." And the " you hate me now." I'm just stuck knowing something that should be kept to ones self. A few weeks ago I asked her to tell me that it was over, even if it was a lie so I could move away from it.

I dunno, I don't understand people either.
