SO??? Whatcha doin' today? Saturday, 11/26/11 chat :)

We didn't do Thanksgiving on Thursday, DD was with DBF's family and DS was celebrating with an old friend's family. DS's friend is stationed in Vegas and spent some time in Afghanistan so he hadn't seen her in over a year so I was happy he was able to visit her and her family for a few days.

So we are celebrating Thanksgiving at DD's house tomorrow and I'll be in the kitchen today making peach cobbler, pumpkin cheesecake, 7up biscuits (never tried them but sounds yummy and easy) and stuffing. While I'm in the kitchen, I've also got some chicken in the fridge that I need to get in the freezer so I think I'll make chicken nuggets and toss them in the freezer.

I also need to get some laundry done so I'll try to throw a few loads in between kitchen waiting time.

got all of the Christmas decorations out,
but only about 10% up

Took inventory of the meat in my three freezers,
and realize that I need a couple of big sales!!

Got the chicken nuggets done and in the freezer. 7-up biscuits are a mess to handle and then all ran back together in the oven so it looks more like a square loaf. Hope they taste better than they look!

Hey Cody....the drugstores in the area were completely wiped out by Thanksgiving afternoon. RIDICULOUS! I went to get just a few things in the afternoon, and I left so frustrated. I think I will skip them too next year. Thanks Extreme Couponing! You are the devil!

I hope my husband is right.....that it will be a passing fad.

I had to make a run to the grocery - ended up buying a bunch of markdown pork and chicken to put in the freezer. Ran 2 loads of dishes - one from yesterday and one from breakfast/lunch today. Threw in a load of towels to wash. Took recycling out. I think that is about it for excitement today!

I did drag DS out for a walk around the neighborhood, but it was a little chilly so we didn't go to far. We did decide to go up the ski area next Wed afternoon on opening day and get our season pass pictures done. We can ski for a couple of hours and see what the conditions are before deciding if we want to go up on the weekend. It has been pretty dry the last couple of months and I am hearing the snow is pretty thin still, so we may just decide to wait a couple more weeks before going up for a full day.

Right now I am pretty bored - chores are pretty much done and it is too early to start dinner. I should find something useful to do - just not too motivated right now - maybe a nap sounds good ....

Rain here today and windy so we are stuck inside. Put up the tree,cleaned the floors,wash some clothes now I need to clean my bathroom, had to go out for milk, its has been a slow day here and pretty much the same everyday stuff..

DH went out in the rain an gott me a tree!!!

I cooked enchilada casserole and rice krispie treats for dinner
and we will decorate the tree after dinner!!
