I have found that it is a YMMV on just about any brand that I have purchased. Some last for many years & others just a year or 2.
What am I going to do? It is making some really loud sounds and nothing is dripping out. I am going to die without my coffee.
I got my coffeemaker about 5 years ago. It was free when you signed up for this coffee program. After the first month I canceled it. So I got 4 bag of coffee and a coffee maker for $10.
How long do these things last when you run them every day?

I'd have to say that 5 years is a pretty good run on a coffee maker!! Mine usually last for about a year & half - but I do make ALOTTA coffee - and our water is kinda funky.
When mine starts slowing down dripping out & making noises - I pour a bottle of vinegar in & run it thru about a dozen times to clean out whatever is clogging it up & that'll usually do the trick & buy it some more life. It's when it spews all over the counter & onto the floor is when I know it's done for!!
Hope the vinegar can help your coffee maker!!
Good luck!!
(Also - I'm betting there'll be a deal on coffee makers somewhere on Black Friday!!)

I don't know the brand or type, but it seems like the fancier, the shorter they live. My 40+ year old percolator died last year and I was so sad. I've gotten a lot of use out of just plain off/on drip makers. Every time I've gotten a fancier maker (always as a gift) they died within a couple or so years.
If you're desperate, you can put some coffee into a filter, twist it closed, and dunk it into hot water until it's close to how you like it, kind of like making tea. That'll get you a fix until you can get another maker. BTDT. RIP coffee pot. I know you were loved.

If it was the gevalia one , mine lasted 4-5 years. they were good coffemakers. Walmart ones last about 12-18 months.
Last time mine went out we were broke and had to wait about a week to but new one. This is how I made coffee for a week:
Put a pots worth of water in microwave, heat. Put coffee in the filter piece from coffeemaker. Sit that right on top of coffe pot. Slowly pour hot water into filter. I made pots this way and then sat pot back in maker cuz my heater still worked to keep warm.
Maybe this will work til you can get new one.

ENJOY YOUR DAY!!!!!
Lucky you, angela. Every time I've had one die, it was the burner that went out. The way I'd found out was by gently putting my lovingly prepared coffee to my lips and taking that much anticipated first sip-- only to find it colder than a well digger's butt.

I want one of those fancy ones but I'm too cheap to buy one. The one was have now hasn't been used much but it's about 3 years old. Black friday is your best bet. Buy a backup if you can afford it.
I had sanity once upon a time I promise. It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it
.
First of all, I would get a back up immediately. I can't start the day without my coffee. I don't even get dressed until I've had my first sip. Then try the vinegar trick, it works usually.
What does YMMV mean???
It is Your Milage May Vary.
I am going to try and clean it out with vinegar. It was the gevalia one. If that dosen't work I might just do the microwave method. I also can not start my day without it. I wake up, pee then get to the coffee. I don't even look at the computer first

My hubby is the coffee drinker here. He bought a BUNN maker, at Walmart and it's still humming along too - had it about 4 years so far. It's not the commercial one. And since it keeps water hot, his coffee is ready in literally a minute. He loves it.
