Sharing 2 nice things about the USPS and UPS

I know there are lots of complaints about both of these - I have had a few myself - but I wanted to share these 2 nice things that have happened in the past week.

I have a new mail carrier and she's pretty smart. She brings dog treats with her and when a dog starts yipping at her and annoying her she throws them a treat. (Our neighbor's ancient Border Collie usually comes over and harrasses OUR delivery people!)

On Friday I had my front door open to get some fresh air inside (we're rural and the last house on a dead end road). I had just gone into the bathroom and heard someone drive up. Then I heard "hello?" I figured it was UPS but they left before I could get out and there was no one else home. There was a large box at the door and a minute later the neighbor came over. He said the UPS guy told him our front door was open so he came over to check on us.

I just thought it was nice of him to share his concern.

That was nice of him.. Its nice to know that people still care about others well being.
