Thanks so much for all the well wishes! We've gotten more help than I could ever have hoped for! We have some great friends and family! My mom has gotten good news this week, the tumor in her breast has shrunk by 20% after a month of chemo! I was totally at my wit's end, but things are getting better! I just have to figure out how to get my loan payment ($30, not so bad!) into the bank by the 21st. I think I can sell some stuff on craigslist and make that. We were going to have a yard sale last weekend, but DH sort of put a crimp in those plans! :) He went back to work yesterday, even though everyone said he should wait. He managed to postpone his business trip, and just did paperwork at his desk all day. Boring, but necessary! Maybe I'll do the yard sale this weekend, and get all this junk out of my house!

I don't know if this is helpful but I would recommend reading Dave Ramsey's book Total Money Makeover. He has a lot of good, sound advice about money and managing it. It has completely changed my views towards money and has helped our family tremedously, not to mention has relieved a lot of financial stress. I hope everything is going well for you and I will pray for you and your family.

Maybe you could call a church in your area & see if they have a food pantry or at least direct you in the right direction. Also, I think you can call "211" # (?) for some
kind of temporary assistance. Hopefully & prayerfully all will work out soon.
