Anyone else running out to get last minute Halloween Candy?

Why is the assumption constantly - atleast they aren't out throwing eggs and finding trouble... as if we have to constantly entertain these kids 24/7 to keep them out of trouble.... what ever happened to teenagers staying out of trouble, period....because that is what they are supposed to do and fear of getting in trouble with their parents if they do something stupid, stops them from doing things....

Well some kids would rather trick or treat and get candy rather than get in trouble and I am glad my son is one of them. If I didnt allow him to go tirck or treating he would not be out there getting into mischief but some kids would.

I really do not see the harm in a pre-teen or teen dressing up and getting candy

I guess I am just one of those parents who do not see the need to tell my son because he is a certain age he should just grow up and not trick or treat.

nothing wrong with teenagers going out as long as they are in costume. What is worse is the adults that put on a mask to disguise themselves. Saw several of them last night. I think the adults that allow there little ones to trick or treat but don't give out candy at their own home is worse than any teenager trick or treating. If there is no one to stay home to give it out you can always leave it with a neighbor ot leave the bowl out.

Thats what we always did when DH and I both went with the kids-we would leave a bowl out or have my Mom come over and hand out candy since she doesn't get any trick or treaters where she lives.

We barely had any trick or treaters last night. I was so suprised. We live in a huge neighborhood but I think they were all at the streets that have haunted houses. One house does a really cool haunted house every year. Families from other neighborhoods come over to see it!

We had a few teens and they were very polite and all in costume. One girl had a great costume. She had purple balloons all over her she was a grape. Some other teens came around in costume and they were collecting canned goods for a food drive.

So I have a TON of candy left over. I even gave the last few trick or treaters handfuls of candy and still have a ton left. I think I will take it to the dentist who then sends the candy overseas to soldiers.
