I had the same situation happen to me with my roommate. it is really irritating and i was so mad that i never had my privacy. i would definately have your daughter try to change rooms because obviously the other girl does not care about giving the respect of privacy to your daughter, so i doubt the roomamte will try to move. for some odd reason girls love drama, and knowing that she is making someone mad she will probably just continue doing what she is doing. also since your daughter started crashing at friends houses, the other girl already thinks that the room is basically her space she knows your daughter will just continue to leave to go somewhere else.

i would first think about the rules of the dorm.

In her specific dorm are they able to have the opposite sex in their rooms?
If they are not able to...................did they have to sign a paper of some sort stating that they will follow the rules (whatever they may be for the dorm).

if they had to sign a contract or something....... then at sometime when your daughter knows when they will be in there or if she can hear thru the door, i would go get the RA if the RA is available to walk in your room during the deed. (this may even work when talking to them about changing her room because then obviously the RA will see for themselves and obviously their is proof). who wants to have to live thru that everyday.

New roomie moved in this morning but my daughter is home for the weekend so they haven't met.

I hope they become good friends.

Both she and Lindsey will have to come to some sort of agreement if she doesn’t want to tell the RA and doesn’t want to wait it out. They’ll have to figure out time schedules, create a divide between the room using a curtain, or something.

So far so good. Roomie moved in while my daughter was here at home and when she returned she said she'd never seen so much pink, LOL.

They haven't had much time to get to talk yet though because roomie went home super early last week (I think Wed) because of a dental appointment but I think it will be fine.

    Thanks for asking.

I was going to suggest calling Lindsey's parents. That would certainly have an impact...
