DD wants an Ipad

DD wants an Ipad and has for over a year. I know nothing about them but I've heard they aren't that great. SO. Do you have one? Ehat do you think? Do you download apps like you do for the ipod touch?

Is there another brand of tablet or touch pad (whatever they're called) that you like better?

From what I hear its pretty much just like the ipod touch with a bigger screen....

DS wants one. We are not getting him one since he already has an ipod touch and a laptop. So there really is no point in him having an ipad. We may be getting him an iphone when he is due for a phone upgrade.

I know tons of people love their ipads...I just don't see the point in getting one IMHO.

I have one and love it....I rarely use my computer anymore, the only time that I use my computer is to print coupons as I have one that won't print but I subscribe to blogs that send daily emails about free books on amazon you would not believe how many books I have in my library now and at zero cost! And I use the calendar daily to keep myself on track.

The other thing I love is list master ap to keep track of my store grocery lists its great! If you purchase for your daughter depending on her age....it is really easy to purchase aps so you will have to keep an eye on that but other than that I adore mine.
