Default Car Insurance - What's normal?

I am just curious what everyone else pays for a year's worth of car insurance? Is it normal to feel like you are handing over a paycheck to have your car insured?

I pay $1300 a yr for 2 fully insured vehicles (07 Camry and 08 Edge). We get significant discounts because we have clean driving records, have AAA, went through driver training, and have our homeowner's insurance at the same place.

Not sure yearly, I could figure it out, but too lazy. LOL We have full coverage on a 07 Toyota Tundra and 06 Nissan Armada through Geico and we are paying $114/month for 9 months.

    1971 Newell Motorhome-$356
4 vehicles on one policy, 2 suspended is $1036.
We also have a motorcycle policy which is about the same as the motorhome. Cannot have medical coverage on the motorcycle. Hmmm. We do carry anything other than liability. Do not have collision, do not have uninsured motorist. That uninsured/underinsured doubles the cost. I carry as much medical as I can.

Never had a claim, We're old. The kids aren't on it yet. I;'ve been with the company for 30 years. It's all about lining peoples pockets and paying massive salaries to CEO's .

I'm not really sure because we had to take two separate policies. Reason being, husband lives in CA and I live in WA. He's in the military. We have Geico and we do get a military discount. My van is 2001 so I don't pay a lot for it but... He has a brand new car so it is fully insured and he has to pay extra just for living in CA. Our policies are not due at the same times so it would be difficult for me to figure. Our plan is such that we pay monthly for I think 9 months.

We've had Allstate, Geico, and now Progressive. The typical amount we've paid with all three companies was between $50-$75/month. That was first on a Ranger, then an Explorer, and now on a Jeep Grand Cherokee (all of them fully paid for). With Progressive, we get so many discounts-- paying online, paying in full at once, being with them for x period of time. So our bill goes down each time we renew every six months. We're at $307 this time.

we have a dodge ram truck and mini van both are paid for. Full coverage was right at $1,000 a year but when I added my teen son I had to cut back to liablility, unasured motor, and health its about $1500 for less coverage because of my teenage son. Thats with a discounted for his good grades.
