We haven't had delivery to our door in years. I have to pay for a PO box or have my mailbox at the end of the road, a 1/4 mile from my house and on the edge of my property where it borders a trailer park and the in-laws. Of course the Post Office wants it put RIGHT WHERE the towns snow truck pushes all the snow from the trailer park every time it snows so access would be extremely limited and the mailbox would constantly be getting run over. Nevermind the fact that it would probably be stolen by the nephews (don't get me started on them).

They need to do away with Saturday delivery, should have done that years ago when email and online bill paying made double digit climbs.

No "to the door" delivery is necessary either. A mailbox at the street is sufficient.

Expand the number of POBoxes at the local post offices.

And no expansion of postal office hours for tax return deadline date. That's insanity and coddles people who wait until the last minute to file. Absolutely not necessary.

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

I am in the City limits and there are no road side boxes, unless you are outside the City limits. There are clusters at the two mobile home parks and the apartments.
I have had a post office box for over 20 years. I like to get my coupons sent to my house in case they arrive on Saturday.
I worked at the postal service for a few months. Monday is their busiest day because of all the magazines, etc. If they did not have Saturday, to be able to get the Saturday mail out of the way, then Monday would become a mess for them.

Or actually charge them extra money to pay for it.

$4 extra to file after 6:00 pm ish.....that would be more then enough to pay for the extra workers that have to stay the evening and work...cause that is one busy night.

Fairly certain if they did that...that night would help shave down the deficit they are in
