It looks like a boil. Usually I just have to leave those alone.
Have you tried putting something like Clearasil on it and just leaving it there.
I have the largest, reddest zit ever. And I rarely even get a zit. I have tried everything to make it go away.... hot compresses, for 2 days, rubbing alcohol and squeezing. It just gets redder and more irritated looking and it's huge - I don't even know if it is a normal zit. How can I get rid of this sooner rather than later? Going to a doctor is just not an option. It is so big and so red that I can't even hide it with make-up, everyones eyes is drawn directly to it - it's so embarassing.

Not sure how to get rid of it, but I would defineately not be touching it any more. Leave it alone, let it try and heal on its own.
Years ago my Dad had a boil on his neck, is it possible it could be that? The pic is kinda blurry, so hard to tell what it really looks like.
Good Luck!
I have multiples of each weeks inserts. PM me for easy trades. I just might have what your needing.
Posted a clearer picture. How in the heck does one get a boil on their face? What causes that? !!! EEEK
"Never squeeze or pop a boil, as this could cause it to burst internally, creating an even worse infection."
Great - I have already tried to do that....![]()
Looks blistery, is it? My Dad had his boil when I was a kid so can't really remember what it looked like, but I'm not thinking it was blistery looking. Defineatley leave it alone. I don't think I would even put make-up on it to hide it

It's not blistery. Just very red and irritated, I took that picture after several hot compresses and trying to maneuver it to the surface with rubbing alcohol. So it is probably blistery looking for that reason.
The problem is - it is on the face so I really need to minimize it's appearance, reddness and size very soon. I realize I can't make it go away instantly but I have to do something to minimize the appearance and color.
Sometimes putting a dab of toothpaste on the spot for several hours will help dry it out. I usually get one, big zit 2-3 times a year. I read this tip in a magazine several years ago. It has been hit or miss as far as working... but when it has helped- I was thankful.
