6th grade homework help please

I am hoping one of you can help me. My daughter is in 6th grade and needs to gather 12 different objects representing the three branches of science and then write a sentence explaining how it fits into a particular branch. For the life science branch we have a flower, a leaf, grass, and an apple. For earth science we have a rock, water, a starm and moon. we are now at the physical science branch and I am stuck what can we use to represent this branch? Any one have suggestions?

How about a magnet, a flashlight, a pulley, thermometer, radio, battery...

a light bulb - for electricity
water/ice - phases of matter
thermometer - temperature/heat
magnet - magnetism
radio - sound/waves

Yep, I agree with the 2 above. Those all came to my mind and to my dh's.
