My grandmother had dry skin issues and she was told to use cetaphil by her doc. It worked great at first and seems to be a very gentle product, but her issues just got so out of control that she eventually had to stop using everything (turns out it was skin cancer...totally ok now though). I know a lot of people and docs recommend this one.

I have sensitive acne prone skin that gets really dry in certain areas and very red with many face products, and I use First Aid Beauty face wash. I really love it. I would say overall that it is very mild for sensitive skin, it does not clog pores, it doesn't dry skin out too much, but it is also not a super luxe moisturizing wash so you will need an extra moisturizer for the driest of skin. Which I don't mind that part cause IMO you're usually gonna have to use a moisturizer anyway with dry skin. You can buy it at Sephora. It is a bit expensive, BUT you don't have to use but a small bit to clean your whole face so it lasts a long time. I think I'm only on my second tube since the beginning of this year. I guess with this one you would have to judge yourself if it was moisturizing enough for you, but if the cetaphil doesn't work for you, I'd give it a shot.

I have also tried the oil cleansing method and liked it ok enough as far as not drying my skin out and keeping it moist enough that I didn't even need a moisturizer after. But it was messy and hard to get the excess oil off of my face. I had to scrub my face with a washcloth in the shower to get it off, which is not necessarily good for sensitive skin that gets red easy. Also if I got any in my hair (like at my forehead hairline and temples) it would then be oily in that spot. I am just more of a quick and easy gal and it was just too much of a process for me.

HTH!
