I thought I had broken it at first which was really disappointing since I have been really trying hard to train well for this upcoming run. Luckily it doesn't hurt as bad today and last night I tested it out with a 1 mile run that seemed to be ok. So I'm gonna go for it on Sun. I have had a bit of nerve tingling in my legs and arms, but I think that is just from the nerves being bruised as well. It's not pain...just tingling every once in a while, so I'm not too concerned with that either.
So, I guess wish me luck. Like I said before, I know I'm not gonna be able to run the whole 5 miles...but I'm gonna run as much of it as I can.
I would love to be up to 8 miles at a time like you christina, but that is a while in the future. I have also been experiencing some left ankle pain in my Achilles tendon area and need to figure out what that is all about before I could ever get up to that amount of mileage. My DH has runner's knee too. He just runs through it. I tell him he should get it checked out, but he doesn't seem concerned enough. It may just be overuse though cause he is a big runner like you...usually I think he runs about 20-25 miles a week.
