My mother and I are driving from Washington(home) to Indiana to visit family for vacation, we are leaving Sept. 2nd. I am looking for other members that know restaraunts and hotels along the way that we could sign up with or email for coupons/discounts. We will be going thru these major cities( I can add more in a day or two) Billing, Kadoka, Sioux City. My goal is: Only pay full price for fuel, can ya'll help me out Thanx Lorrie

Do cvs deals for the gas cards.
No waffle houses ! They are nasty...well at least I didn't like them.

Try Hotwire for the hotels. You have to pay for the hotel before you know the name but you can see what amenities they have before. If you choose ones with continental breakfast that eliminates one meal a day. We use them all the time and have only had one hotel that was not up to par.

Also, I would look for coupons for the places you will stop and eat at along the way.

Right off of I-80 in Iowa City are a Texas Roadhouse, Steak and Shake, Wendys, McDonalds, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Village Inn. There is also Coralridge Mall right there with a food court.

Texas Roadhouse you can sign up and they will send you an email for a free appetizer. Steak and Shake, Village Inn, and I believe Olive Garden all have coupons out right now.

Texas Roadhouse is a steak house, if you wanted a good meal and not just fast food. They are very reasonably priced and have very good food.

Hehe, I checked out the Outback Steakhouse because the had that steak dinner G/A... Well, they were gone(surprizeLOL) but they had $5 coupons. I contacted them and LTK how much I LOVE their Bloom'in onion, so very true LOL, and continued on about trip and all, and basically told them how talked about that they will be if they help me out , which is also so very true LOL anyhow I will keep updating and I also checked out Village Inn and I believe they are offering a free dessert, I might have to dig my claws in a bit on them Lorrie

Just letting you know, the Red Roof Inn in Sioux Falls, SD has very, very limited cont. breakfast. When I was there it was pretty much donuts, english muffins, bagels and toast. Not much else. They do have vending machines right by where the breakfast area is though. But, the price was one of the better prices in town the time we stayed there. (We are from about 70 miles from there and went to visit my other half's mom for the night/his b-day and didn't want to impose.)

Also, there are a couple of motels (like the Arena Motel) that are real dives, wouldn't recommend staying there.
