You know what? I don't understand why threading makes it take longer for the eyebrow hairs to come back in than tweezing. That's what a friend that gets hers threaded said anyway. What is the difference??? It's both just pulling the hair out.

I think it is a minimal difference. I've tweezed, waxed, threaded and they all probably start growing back eventually within a day of each other. I think the lure of threading is that all the hairs are plucked at once- including the little transparent fuzz you don't really see, but you know it's there once it gets threaded. I think the whole thing about hair taking longer to come in is about the same argument as shaving/Nair/waxing. Everyone is right and someone is righter than the other, but you never know until you try it on your own skin.

Although I will admit threading is a little more exciting and if you do it right- or if your stylist does it right, taking out rows of hair will feel like individual tweezes instead of tweezing each hair separately in a row. So you get more done in a quicker amount of time. It also has a very clean look to it.

    Exciting, horrific, toMAYto, toMAHto.

Do it yourself threading is not for me, but then I have the unfortunate tendency to rip out hunks of flesh with any hair. Forget that kind of learning curve and the liars on youtube who make it seem easy. I'd rather perform a do it yourself home colonoscopy.

I actually lost half an eyebrow in a horrific waxing incident! lol. It was so not funny at the time-especially since the gal who did it kept saying-"no, it's not gone." I kept yelling "yes, it is-are you blind." It was scary.

I have had horrible hair cuts from two of the cheapy hair cut places...so they are just a no go for me any longer. I have a lot of curly hair...a l o t. But not a super complicated cut...but when I have ringlets that are an inch or so hanging out the back...it's obvious they don't know what they are doing.

I'm trying out a new place soon...they did my sister for $15..so I'm hopeful she won't kill my hair.

To get my hair highlighted and cut costs about $80. And I actually enjoy being waxed...eyebrow wise. Gets all the dead skin off that area for me. Yes I'm weird.

My husband goes to a barber now..so It's somewhere around $15 or less.

Cut, foil high and low lights, blow dry/style, $80, i think the boys are normally with me and get theirs cut as well and our total is normally just over $100.

I cut my son's and my fiance's hair. But I go to a nice salon for. I have thick, curly, dry, long hair, so it is a beast to cut. I pay $45, which includes shampoo & conditioner, cut, blow dried straight and a little flat iron use to get the fly aways.

I have never gone to a salon but once. My hubby trims my hair from the back(bottom) and I do the front, I used to have it up to my waist. I had it cut in March(I think) in layers, but I'm letting it grow out. I paid about $22 and that was with tip, my daughter is the one that gets it cut and it's about the same price, no shampoo, nothing just cut. I do my own eyebrows, I also do my own nails

I do my own nails as well - they want so much for a manicure these days and with all the horror stories of people developing fungus and such from dirty utensils - I just don't trust the nail salons to be sanitary.

Haircut with wash and blow dry - $20
    Highlights - $50+
    Eyebrow wax - $10
this is at a local salon where I personally know the persons cutting my hair. I don't do highlights, but a friend does. These are the posted prices.

    Manicure: $12
    Spa Pedicure: $25
Also local salon. French tips add $10 to each price. This is for hand or leg/foot massage and paint of your choice. They did a much better job on my feet than I do at home.

I've been wanting to get someone to do the eyebrow threading, but no one locally does it.
