Default Size of envelope to use .44 stamp with usps??

I have some envelopes, wanting to ship coupons in them.. Not worried about the weight, but the dimensions...

    5 3/4 high
    8 1/2 long

I went to usps to calculate postage and am confused.
Will they work with a .44 stamp?

    Are they considered letter

or odd shaped envelope? When you click on the ? is shows the same measurements for both?

To my knowledge, for a letter the minimum dimensions are 5.5" long by 3.5" high and the maximum are 11.5" long by 6 1/8" high, so yours looks to be OK for a 0.44 stamp.
