I had not bought a new purse for about a year or so. As I was shopping for a new one I notice that the prices are getting on up there (as with everything else).. The ones that I really really liked were like $59 to $79 and I just cant see paying that for a purse. This was at TJ Max for they usually have some nice ones. I did buy one that I liked but it was only $29 which I really wantted to pay a little less then that but had no luck finding a chaper one that I liked....Yes I have been checking around the past 3 weeks only to find that I did not like the prices or the purse one or the other at other stores.

I dont buy a purse often and I keep reuseing them until they are no longer any good. I do this for more than just money reasons..

You can vote on pice and how often you buy a new purse both.

I use purses until they die. I mean dead. I repair, mend, wash purses until they are rags. The last purse I had i bought on clearance at JCP for $8.00, and it was so big that it's now my diaper bag. The purse I bought to replace it was $19.99, minus a $10/$10 coupon and a 15% off coupon from the survey on the back of the JCP receipt. That was about 3 months ago and it's still going strong! Other than that, I have 1 cocktail purse, which seldom gets used these days.

YOu left one out. I don't buy purses, because I don't use them. lol Many years ago a place I worked at made you share lockers with others for your personal things. I refused to put anything other than my coat in it. I'd lock my purse in the trunk of my car. I finally just got to where I used a clip and hook my keys on my belt loop, stuff my wallet in my back pocket, have my Leatherman on my belt and my smokes in either a front or rear pocket.

If it doesn't fit in a coat pocket or pants pocket, then I don't need it. lol I don't carry a brush or makeup or anything like that. That way too, someone would really have to feel me up in order to steal anything. lol

I usually buy 1 purse a year and usually it's from Target and ranges from $20-$40. With where I'm at in my life-I have to have a large purse, I have all of my stuff, plus DS's stuff.

I always keep, a travel pack of lysol wipes, paci wipes, an extra paci, single packs of wet ones wipes, a bag of goldfish crackers, a bag of Teddy Grahams, plastic stickable placemats, plastic knifes and spoons. I also sometimes add a diaper, small pack of travel wipes, trucks, books, and a gerber yogurt.

By the time a year is up, it's looking pretty rough and it's time for a new one. Back in my Single days I was known to pay $150-$200 for a purse. But now that I'm an old married lady and the offical carrier of everything for my family-my purse has grown and I spend much, much less on one.

I have maybe 5 purses right now. The last one I bought was last year in Pigeon Forge, TN. It was pure leather and a little expensive. Usually I buy purses from WM and maybe buy (1) a year. But DH told me to buy this one since we were on vacation. My stepmom bought me a Vera bag for Christmas that I love.
I had sanity once upon a time I promise . It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it.

I'm famous for carrying the same purse for years! It drives my daughter nuts! She's a "different handbag for different outfits/occaisions" kinda gal. Not me. As long as it's still useful, I'm using it. I might change purses in the spring, and again in the fall...but those two purses will be carried until they can't be carried again!

I normally buy my purse at Goodwill or yard sales. Last year, I bought really nice purse for the summer at Goodwill. It was from Target, and still had the tags on it. It cost $4.99. This is the second summer for it...and I'm thinking it has at least 2 more summers left!

Like I said, it drives my daughter nuts. She makes fun of the fact that I always have the same purse. I don't honestly care. The fewer purses I have...the more money I have put IN them!

The humongous purse I'm using now - which I think is about 3 years old - was about $35 at Target if I remember correctly and that's the most I've ever paid for one.

I don't switch my purses anymore because it seems every time I would do that there would be SOMEthing left behind that I needed.

The purse I'm using now I didn't intend to use daily - I bought it as my vacation day bag (which was always a purse just bigger to hold maps, etc.) but it proved so handy and efficient that I just kept using it every day. It is ridiculously heavy but I have a ton of stuff in it. I'm just that way - like to be prepared. The girls all make fun of me for it but they can bite me! They sure appreciate it when I'm able to pull out just the thing they need or want.

I'm blessed with an amazing thrift shop in town here that I love to frequent not only for their selection of quality donated items, but also because all it's proceeds go locally to help struggling family and to run a women's shelter here.
Anyway, most recently I bought at beautiful suede Kenneth Cole purse w/ accessories for $7 and over the years I've gotten other name brand purses for pennies on the dollar.
I'm not a 'name brand or designer snob', I've just learned from experience I'm really hard on purses and the name brands hold up much better than the other brands at stores that are more in my price range.

$0. I carry only what will fit into my pants pockets, usually tiny nail trimmer, tweezer, lip balm (left front pocket), cash, phone (right front pocket), and any bank or credit cards I need (right rear pocket). Keys hang on a ring on my belt loop. The few purses I have for the rare occasion I'm not wearing something with pockets were given to me.

lol, my purse has to be on the big side also. I carry things like wipes, snacks, extra pens and paper also. My twins are 4 now but you never know when they will need a wipe or want a snack or pice of gum or I will need to give them something to keep them busy while we are in a store or somewhere. Things get in there that I have no ideal of how they got there but often turns out that we need them..

One day Alex(hes 4) put a bootle of water in there before we left the house.I knew it was a little extra heavy but I just went on about half way to where we were going he asked for a drink. I told him that I did not have anything he said yes you do you have a bottle of water in you backpack..

I am sorry I did not put "I dont carry a purse" on the poll..I dont know how to add it or I would..
