When did you first get gray hair?

I am not sure if everyone is comfortable discussing this but....

I just found my first gray "hairs" last night.....

I turn 28 this Friday and was really really bummed, I guess I should be grateful though....My moms hair started to turn gray when she was 18...

I started finding gray hair around the same age as you. Once I got into my 30's, I have an over abundance of them My hair dresser loves standing there showing them all to me when he is doing my hair. He thinks its funny, me..not so much!

Oh sweets. I know how you feel. Though I just turned 31 I feel like Rogue from X-Men. I have a giant streak that, depending on the day, I either love it or hate it. I say rock it. I was gonna cover it with color, but was tired of the dirty looks I'd get from grumpy old women. Now I don't have to hear as many comments that "babies shouldn't be having babies".

Don't be sad- I know it's easier said than done, but honestly, I'm begnning to love it. I even.... (I hope you're sitting down....) FEEL SEXY! Imagine that...

My DH is 49 and probably at least 1/2 gray plus balding. I just started getting gray hair at 49, my DH hates that everyone thinks that he is older than me when he is actually a year younger. I don't think I'm going to dye my hair, there are women at my office who have gorgeous silver or white hair. Hopefully mine will turn out that pretty when the color changes more.

Oh I love that look! Like that lady Stacy London from the show "What Not to Wear". I thinks its sexy too. I hope mine comes in like that when it does.

So far for me I have none yet at 29. I'm sure its nipping at my heels, unless I have some I haven't found yet (my hair is naturally ashy). Dh on the other hand just found his first couple a few weeks ago.

My late thirties, I think it was. I don't remember exactly. It really started to go in my 40's, though. It's still mostly brownish, but around my face/top of my head is pretty silverish. I had my last kid at 43 and one day I had him with me at the Post Office and one of the gals asked me if he was my grandson. lmao Boy, was she embarassed. lol

I won't dye it...thought about it, but just don't want the expense and hassle of it. Hubby doesn't want me to either. On the plus side, I don't have wrinkles. Some small crows feet around the eyes that are barely noticeable, but that's it. If I did dye my hair, I could maybe pass for 40 instead of 52.

Mine started coming in when DH started having back problems in my mid 20's. I think I hurried it along with the extra stress of him being layed up when we had a baby in the house. His through his back out the first time when DS1 was 3 months old!

I had to answer "under 20" because (and this is the honest truth!)...I was born with one grey hair on the back of my head!! I had a full head of dark brown hair...except for that one! All my life, it was there! I can remember being as young as 8 years old, and hearing about it from the classmate behind me in school.

I started getting more of them in my 20's. It got to the point that I started coloring my hair when I was about 26...and I've been doing it ever since. Some day, I'll give in...but not yet!! I'm ONLY 53!!

I will be 31 next month. I never noticed any gray in my hair until I got my blonde hair dyed dark brown yesterday. My hair sylist said "Oh you have a few grays". Gee thanks for letting me know!

I can't answer the poll because I don't have any gray hair yet. I am 40 years old. I have prayed for years not to have gray hair and it is working.
