Oh, ya, I'll whip out a scrunchy or spandex leggings or strappy top (though never together, ack!) with the best of them even though I'm way past the age and weight for it to look cool. I'm quite ok with it if any Selena Gomez multi-toned curl wearing grannies laugh at me for it.![]()

You should! Manic Panic has a color called Hot Hot Pink that really is. Anything else tends to be just kind of pinkish. Go all out!

My gray isn't gray. It is snow white. I actually sort of like all white hair of that sort, but I have very dark brown hair now about half and half at the crown with less white the further from the crown you go. I just had a very little at the crown until I went through an extremely stressful time at 40 years old. During that six months, I really didn't pay much attention to my hair. I was pretty fixated on dealing with the situation. When it was finally over and settled, I was still pretty busy re-organizing my life. It wasn't until I went to the hair dresser to try to get something done with my hair, which I had just been wearing pretty much natural during all this, that I suddenly realized I'd gone half white. Although many people have very attractive salt and pepper hair, because of the odd layout, mine just looks goofy. I had it done at the salon for a while, but never really liked their solution. They did some sort of thing where they dyed every other swath of hair light and dark. To me, it had a very calico cat look. Now I just dye it all over with a dark blond. When I started doing it, people who'd known me for years made a point of telling me how glad they were I finally went back to my 'natural color'. I guess it is just that the lighter hair is now a dark blond and looks like natural highlights in my dark hair.
Also, Smee, I love Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink! I once saw a girl who had somehow managed to do her hair with it, their lighter pink, and their magenta intermingled. I swear it looked like her hair was naturally pink! Really cute, but I would assume the upkeep on that would be about impossible.

You are just so hilarious!!!
I found my first gray hairs around 31/32 and was into coloring since I was 18 or 19. Now (being 51) I have an almost white strand in front and the rest is whatchamaycall salt & pepper? Quit coloring when I couldn't get the color on fast enough to hide the everyday's new growth. Got me some highlights to make the transition from brown to gray easier and that way I did not have to cut above my ears to match the gray halo on top of my head. Now I am content with my hair becoming white slowly, at least I got a bunch of it and don't have to fear baldness.
In regards to the "wires" sticking out (don't you just love the ones in your bangs???), I have tried many shampoos (some of them were ridiculously expensive) until I found Renpure, the red bottle (has some kinky writing on it like "my parched hair..."). I just so love this shampoo and the conditioner. What I hate though is that they never put a coupon out. Also, John Frieda's Frizz-Ease works good on the gray wires.
What concerns me more than the gray hair on my head is the bold and wiry single hair which has decided to call the midsection of my throat its home. As soon as I feel it (while putting my age-defyer on) I pull it, but it just has decided to aggravate me over and over again.... Now, that's what I call scary
.
Enjoy your holiday tomorrow, ladies and don't worry about the next gray hair...
