Do you have a silly question that you have wondered about that maybe one of our members can answer? Just post your question and see if anyone on here can help you find an anwer!

Here is my question...

Why do trash trucks do their runs so early in the morning? I hear our trash truck come though between 5am-5:30am. Most places, I think, have early trash pick up. Why is that-is it because there is less traffic, less people around, etc? If anyone has the answer-please share!

Here is my question....

So here in Chicago we have 311 for information..(I.e they are suppose to know everything about the city) I call one day and ask about the recycling program since I get tons of newspapers, lady tells me , I don't have that information for the recycling program, Then she says I don't know when your ward will be participating in the program, take it she never asked me what ward I was in, or even asked what I needed info on, when she answered she had an attitude , I said I wanted some information on the recycling program...she stood quiet and then said what information do you want? And then said I don't have that information, and didn't know when my ward will start without asking me where I lived and still had an attitude. Then asked her when she would have the information and angrily said I DON'T KNOW! I said to her "excuse me you are suppose to work for the city and you are customer service you should have some type pf information and not have an attitude" she said nothing and I just hung up on her.

So my question is..
Why post on the city's recycling site to call 311 if they do not know when my ward will be a part of the program or have any information on the program?!

Maybe they have a huge route and need to start that early to get it all in. In my neighborhood, depending on the company, they come between 10a-2p. We don't have town pick up, so you can hire a private company, and there are 4-5 to choose from in the area.

I think I would miss your trash pickup every week because I refuse to leave my trash out overnight because of animals, and I am not up at 5am!

Trash trucks start their day early in the morning because it takes all day to finish the route. DH used to do this for a living.
