Ants in my house!

Every time I read the thread title, I read it like, "lookin' like a fool with your ants in the house..."

The ants apparently got tired of trying to walk across the rug in the living room and decided to pack up camp and move to the laundry! This is a very bad thing since this is where my stockpile is!! *gasp* I went to move a towel that was on the floor and there they were!! NOOOOOOO!!!! For 3 days, I was in there smooshing the individual ones, sprinkling powder circles around the small groups and vacuuming up the bodies. I swear it looked like crop circles in there! Even went outside and sprinkled some powder by the door that leads into the the laundry room as well as at the doorway leading into the kitchen! We put the traps down (found some from 2 yrs ago) and between them and all the powder, so far so good in there. Just waiting to see where else they have moved their camp too now!!

Is it my imagination or are there more ants than ever this year? My brother said he is having more than ever at his house too. I have to spray outside like every 2-3 days. They were just teeming out there today in two different spots. I am buying a couple of cans of spray every 2-3 weeks. That's how much I am using. Am having to put it all over my driveway. Must look for the Terro.

I think they are Raid traps. It's whatever we had from a previous issue a few years ago. So far, they're working. Either that or the ants got tired of death by powder circles!!

We had 5 different ant hills about 3 months ago. I put the bait out one night and checked on them the next night and the ant hills were gone and I haven't seen one since.

we still get your random ant around the yard (mind you I live in rural Kansas...) but no more ant hills

We only had to bait the house once last year...and they were gone by the next day and we haven't seen them in the house since.

There are more ants this year!! I think (think) it's b/c of all the rain we've had?? It's unreal!! Get the traps!!!
