If you had a 3 minute spree in a grocery store?

What would you get? ( anyone remember supermarket sweep???that was a fun show!)


First stop, MEATS! I dont care if id have to buy a freezer after that!
Next stop- maybe cheese, cause they can be frozen.

Then id have to shelf clear some kcups

then probably spaghetti sauces and some pasta, and canned veggies.


If i have time, frozen section.

My dad and I used to watch that show all the time!! We loved it!!! I'd hit the specialty section first. You know, the area where all the snobby cheese is? I"d like to be shopping at a store that sells alcohol so I could stock up on that!!

I guess most people would say the meats because they are the most expensive. But we don't eat a lot of meat so we have little need for that. I think probably the best thing to do would be to hit the non-food items. At one point our Albertsons had flat screen TVs. I've also seen such things as air conditioners, computers and printers for sale at some grocery stores. And many have small appliances like toasters and coffee pots.

Next would be the vitamins and some of the OTC meds that are expensive. Stores with a pharmacy might even have things like a blood pressure monitor. These things (if not needed for personal use) could then be sold on Ebay.

Coffee isle. I would go for the coffee isle. It is so expensive yet, last for a long time.

Frist meat, then Kellogg's cereals that are listed on the Gas reward rebate, coffee, OTC meds, cheese and end with Blue Bell Ice cream. They have real half gallon cartons.

I never saw that show but for me it would be meats like everyone else. They freeze well and that is always what I am spending my money on.

Next, I would probably go for vitamins as I can never get them for free and they are so expensive too!

Then maybe the bags of dried fruit and raisins. So expensive and so good!

And if they had wine...that whole section:)

Coffee and toilet paper lol. The good kind! Then laundry soap and dishwasher detergent, if I had any room. Especially those Purex 3 in 1 sheets - I love them! And Finish powerballs.

Of course...meat and seafood. Then, I'd probably hit the baking aisle for Olive Oil, flour and sugar. "Good" cheese would come next...then diapers for the soon-to-be-here granddaughter! (if my spree was after she's born...I'd get whatever formula she needs).

Oh...and then you'd see me fighting with anaj06 in the wine section. Honestly, if she'd take all the red wines, I'd be super happy with all of the white wines!

If it was at Walmart I would go to the electronics department and take all the laptops I could get, LOL. Then keep a few and sell the rest.
If it was Kroger I would get all the meat and seafood.
Of course my husband said if that ever happened he would be the one to do the spree because he would be able to get the stuff faster which he is right. I would freeze up not believing I could get the stuff free without a coupon, LOL
