Haunted House? ~ UPDATE: Post #38,Evidence post # 54

So we have this issue going on about whether my house is haunted or not. We moved in in may 2009. There was an incident when we first moved in i was in the den on the computer and the hubbs was upstairs. I heard what sounded like someone moving a heavy peice of furniture across the floor. I assumed it was the hubbs moving our dresser. for what reason im not sure of. I went up stairs to see what he was doing to find out he was laying in bed and assumed i was down there doing something. So well thats unnacounted for. WHen im alone at night on the computer at night with the tv off i hear what sounds like conversations via a radio between two people. Thing is we dont own a radio and none of our alarm clocks are equiped with a radio. Next incident we were out late one night and pulled into the driveway i noticed what looked like a person in a hoodie walking towards our house. It almost looked as if they walked right into the brick and vanished. We went inside and no one was inside and hubby looked out back and no one around. For a while there no incidences occured but also at the time we were not using our den either. My brother and his girlfriend moved in and they took over the den oct 2009. Not to many weird incidences occured. ALthough there was a time where they witnessed a chair we have in their a small recliner make a complete clockwise circle. it stopped and then turned counterclockwise. I was upstairs during this and they were beyong freaked. His gf called me on my cell whispering for me to go down there. It didnt occur again. But we did mess witha candle trying to "contact" spirits and had some weird coincidental findins with the flame that freaked her out. I wouldnt count these as they could be a freak coincidence to what we were doing. We randomly hear what sounds like people walking across upstairs here but both parties never hear it. Recently the activitie is more prevelant with my sister staying in the den. Late at night early mornings my sister hears what sounds like a heavy man running across upstairs the hall outside my room. We are all fast asleep and i never hear anything. A week or so ago we were eating dinner and she noticed the spoon in the pot on the oven make a complete circle wich was odd. the stove was off and completly cooled thepot wasnt even on a burner and the food was room temperature. I didnt witness it but when i looked back i did notice the spoon had moved from where i previously saw it. When we are in the den we hear people running upstairs and I check it out to find nothing. The other day i told my nephew off for something and he went downstairs then hubbs was on the computer and i was on here in the bed i kept hearing a thud like someone kicking the wall so after 10 min or so im like grrr stupid nephew is mad at me kickin the walls. I went to the den to find him on the couch with my sister and the rest quietly coloring. My sister heard nothing but me and the hubbs both heard it. My mother in law beleives the house to be haunted but who knows its just weird ocurrences and it only seems to occur when the den is being occupied by people becuase i dont recall anyhting happening during about a year when we NEVER used the den. SO it all seems odd. My sister is that freaked out that she located a paranomal team locally that is willing to come visit the home. I do beleive in paranormal but i am unsure if this house is actually haunted or not but if it were i beleive its residual because this thing doesnt bother us we dont bother it . So anyways what are everyone elses views on this situation? Just curious.

It is a possibility. I believe in it all... I have had weird occurrences late at night while I have been at work by myself and I know for a fact someone has died in the building.

Hopefully this team will be able to shed some light on it all for you....


BTW, maybe these "people" are pissed off at you for letting someone else in "their" space.

Spooky, I recall some instances at my grandparents house when my sister and I were kids I totally believe. My mom also had happening and she tries to act as if there were other reason it happened. I know she knows deep inside her that it is what it is. Really I think most spirts will not harm others unless they are being provoked. I have seen some teams on the tv and sometimes they have really freaky things happen. I hope it will all make sence to you all. I hope after the team comes in you can all feel a little more comforted in the results. I will be interested in the findings :) I get really creeped out easily. I couldn't imagine living in a house with random noises and happenings. I just hope they will have comforting news for you when all is done.

It is possible that your house is haunted by spirits. I can't tell you for sure if these were previous owners of your home,or ones that you brought out from the other side with the candle. I can say from what you've described here that they are not Rowen spirits which is a good thing. Those spirits just seem to be a little mischievous as long as you don't try provoking them you should be fine.

My only word of advice / warning is to be careful when messing with the other side . You never know what may come out ,and most of the time once they are out they don't go back in easily.

My husband is a skeptic. I am supposed to call them today. But their line has been busy. So hopefully I can get a hold of them and go from there. I guess this will prove or disprove whats going on in this house.

I love hearing about this kind of stuff....I also agree just be careful. Have you tried to set up video cameras or recorders just to see what shows up?

I used to be a total skeptic, but I have seen and heard some things in the hospitals I have worked at that still make my skin crawl.

I say get it checked out, just be careful with trying to contact something on your own. I really think there are things that just aren't meant to be messed with. Ouija boards are a terrible idea IMO.

Friday night when we all went out to dinner my mother in law left a tape recorder on the fireplace. I dont know if she has listened to it or not to see if it picked up anything since i havent heard from her. I havent been able to get a hold of the paranormal investigators so i emailed them to call me since their line has been busy all day. Oh and i know to be careful with that sorta stuff. No ouija boards in this house. When we were kids we would get one and my mom always threw it out! shes had many ghost experiences when she lived in england. so she def beleives in it. It doesnt bother me to much, i mean yeah when incidents occur it sorta freaks me out at the moment but i also think its pretty neat too!

I've used Ouija boards only a few times....you should contact Ghost Hunters..lol
My husband has one of those small recorders like they use on ghost hunters, and I've been wanting to use it because a few things have been going on around here, but nothing like your house. I also think it's neat, as long as they don't bother you and it's nothing bad. You should try taking pictures around the house.
