Prayers and Positive thoughts needed for one of our members...Shell64 (Let's send some get well cards too!) UPDATE, Post #14

I'm not sure how many of you know Shell64. If you hang out on the Kroger Cincinnati or Meijer forums, you might have seen her posts. She's also one of them most generous, unselfish traders we have here!

A couple of days ago, I received a PM from her. I PM'd her back, after reading it, so I could get her OK to share it here. I think she needs all the prayers she can get! Here's what she wrote:

hey carol, just dropping in to give you a quick status.I had spent much of the month of may not feeling good.Last day of school was 5-25,i went to the doctor on 5-26,still not feeling good i went to the doctor again on 6-1, feeling worse on 6-2 & 6-3 Brian took me to the E.R when he got home from work,i was put into a medical sedated coma, from friday night thru monday afternoon,put on a ventilator, and strapped to the bed.I had a angiagram done wednesday morning, and it shows 2 arteries one is 100% & one 80% blocked.Heart doctor says i am not healthy enough to have the open heart surgery right now,I need more more protein in my blood and my platelet count needs to increase.I do not know how often i will be on Brett's laptop.I will touch base base with you when i know more, please keep us in your prayers, thanks, michellle

I also heard from her last night. The doctors are looking at Tuesday for a possible surgery date. I'm not sure how often she'll be able to update me, but I'll post updates whenever I can.

Also, I PM'd Heidi (queenofthehivemomof5) yesterday about this, and she thought it would be a good idea to send get well cards to her. I have Michelle's address, and I'll pass it on to Heidi as well. PM either of us if you want to send a card. I'll be out of town Mon through Wed (June 13-15), so if I don't answer your PM during that time, I'll get to it when I get back.

***ETA: A big "thank you" to cheynesnana for agreeing to be another contact person if you want Michelle's address. This will be very helpful when I'm out of town. Thanks Sharon!!!

My goodness..sounds all to familiar. DH just had the exact same thing happen/ but with a clot at the blockage and he had a full blown heart attack.(at 36) It was the scariest times of our lives, and extremely difficult..he's the only one who brings in income. I'm 'disabled' (hate saying that) (36 also) but I have 2 chronic/debilitating/life threatening diseases, and my stubberness caused me to lose too many credits so now I can't get disability or insurance. My meds can cost $2k and up, and now my DH has 5 or 6 to fill each month. So we both do without most of our meds. Mainly the ones we need to slow down the battle and prolong our lives. I could rant for hours about how our system works....all this and we qualify for ZERO assistance. Beyond me..anyway
(this isn't a sob-story to get help, etc...!!! just showing how things can turn around!!)

Shell64--I just want to let you know that everything will work out in the end. My life philosophy is the wonderful Bob Marley song, three little birds,..."don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing's gonna be alright...this is my msg to you.." If I am upset in any way...I listen to this or sing it in my head and before long..the heaviness is lifted! If you don't like Marley then find one that uplifts you! Music is a powerful thing. Also you have to BELIEVE it!! I saw amazing changes within myself and it trickled down to other areas of my life! If you believe in a God then he will bring you out of this. If you don't believe then remember...Nothing last forever..even extremely difficult times! If you keep your mind and heart positve, you'll make it through easier and learn a lot. I know we don't know each other, but my thoughts will be of you...prayers and positive thoughts/love heading your way by many of us.. If I can help in ANY WAY, please don't hesitate to msg me. I just started getting papers last wk so from that point on..I can help with Qs you need and give you copies of my transactions so you don't have to stress over that...just twick it to fit your needs. I know how it feels not to have energy, unable to clip/calculate lying propped up in bed ( I do this a lot!) lol Oh well, atleast now I'm going to feel like I'm contributing. Take care and smile even when you don't feel like it ;)

Bumping up again!!

I'm out of town right now...sitting in a "business center" in a hotel. I haven't heard any updates, but Michelle's husband and son both have my email address. I'll update when I hear something!
