    Thank you ladies.

Teens&Tots - well even if she did think it was stupid she would NEVER admit it to me.

I know I'm a little late on this one. But, soccermom, I'd just let this one slide. From the sounds of things she handles things really well. And as the mom of twenty somethings (yikes I'm getting old), I can tell you, it's really great that she talks to you and is opened. That is soooo important on so many levels. It's just a movie and she's old enough. I have boys and most people are surprised how they call and talk things over with me. Hope you didn't stress too much over it.

katieyj - No worries - I still appreciate your input. My girls are 22, 19 1/2 and 17 and I am lucky that they talk to me but I always think other kids talk to their parents a LOT more than mine do to me. Maybe the grass always seems greener? Awesome that your boys love sharing with you. Boys, what must it be like to have a couple of them around?

My girl went to the (dumb, LOL) movie and had fun with her friends and so far, unless she's hidden it very well, she hasn't started drinking or acting crazy!! LOL Yeah, I'm just a major worry-wart. I always think "you get one chance to do things and I'm determined to do it right." It'll probably be my kids in therapy longer than the others.

I agree with the previous posters, It's a sign that you raised her right that she can come to you in the first place about going to see the movie. Bravo. I don't think she'll feel you're condoning the movie or its values if she sees it. Nor do I think that you should feel like you're condoning it by letting her see it. She's an adult, and all of those good values you instilled in her won't be torn down by a stupid movie.

In a sidebar, I just wanted to let you know that the reviews of the second movie are not that good, and basically a bad rendition of the first movie with worse screenwriting... and humor and a plotline that is played out. But I guess a lot of sequels are that way. Maybe she'll decide not to see the movie just because it's getting a 32% approval rating on rottentomatoes reviews. That's pretty bad. I know that doesn't drive at the main point, but I think the original movie got 79% approval in comparison.

Oops, nevermind, guess she saw it already. Did they like it as much as the first?
