However much I would LOVE for $40K to just drop into my lap....this is not exactly the same and I wouldn't be able to keep it either. I agree that it would leave me with a feeling of guilt every time I thought about it. It obviously wasn't meant to be left behind, and they knew who the owners were...that combined with the vast amount of money makes it a no brainier to me. If I had found a few hundred dollars and bought the house from a bank....that would be a different story. I definitely wouldn't be running to the bank anxious to give them money that wasn't even theirs either.

What a rude, unappreciative butthead!!!

Well fast forward a year when I found a wallet with $1800.00 dollars in it. I also did the right thing and turned the wallet into the office and they called the owner to come and pick it up. He ask the manager who found it and he told him I did (I was already at the front of the store when owner of wallet showed up) he opened the wallet counted the money in front of us then turned around and walk out without even saying thank you. LOL
