just wanted to update this real quick: I haven't got custody of my niece yet but I'm scheduled to start my 10 week class and that's when they will do the home study and everything else. Hopefully I will have no problems and she can come live with me, but the only thing is her mom's estranged husband(her legal but not biological father) is trying to get custody also so everything right now depends on my classes and on what the judge decides. I will update again as soon as anything happens. It's taking forever to do this but she's doing good where she's at right now and she's also in counseling to help.

I so hope that you get custody. You've got such a big heart to do this. I think the little girl will do well in your household. See if they will let you start having some kind of visitation - at least this way you'll get to know each other, right?

Well God bless you for opening your heart and home to this child. She may have to share, but having a house full of sisters can't be bad (mostly lol). Good luck to you, fostering takes a special kind of person.
