I hate moving!

So, everyone moves, I'm sure everyone has moved at least once since they born. How many times have you moved?

Me:

Born-Lived in the top floor of a townhouse in Ozone Park, New York
First Move-Age 1-to the bottom floor
Second Move-Age 7-to Fairfax, Va in with my mother's parents (my parents didn't want to raise us in NY)
Third Move-Age 8-to a townhouse (renting a place of our own)
Fourth Move-Age 15-to a single family home (the townhouse was being sold)
Fifth Move-Age 17-to Warner Robins, Ga-a single family home (dad got a new job)
Sixth Move-Age 21-left Mom and Dad's and moved in with my Fiance into his sister's place (super long story short, parent's kicked me out)-only stayed 2 months
Seventh Move-NOW Hubby and I moved in with a family friend of his into his tiny 2 bedroom apartment-only stayed 2 months
Eighth Move-Age 22-we all moved into a 3 bedroom townhouse-stayed 9 months
Ninth Move-DH and preggy me moved to Macon, Ga (DH got a new job and we wanted our own place with the baby on the way)-stayed 1 month
Tenth Move-Age 23-Stayed in same Apartment Building but changed apartments (it was an old manufacturer building made into lofts and it had HUGE windows that were VERY drafty and leaked when it rained)-
Eleventh Move-Age 25-had another baby but needed more space-stayed in the same building just changed apartments
Twelth Move-to another apartment complex-needed to lower our monthly rent-
Thirteenth Move-Age 27-to Centerville, GA-BIL was leaving for Afghanistan so we 'house-sat' for a few months
Fourteenth Move-BACK to Macon, GA to the Loft apartment building
Fifteenth Move-Age 28-DH's boss moved us to Atlanta, GA to help get a branch of the business off the ground-had another baby! LOL-stayed 6 months
Sixteenth Move-Age 29-Orange Park, FL-Here to open another branch of the business-in current lease ends July 14th-HATING apartment living especially with three kiddos, looking for a single family home!!
Seventeenth Move-????????

So yeah, that's my life in a nutshell, or at least the moving part of it. Moving 17 times in just under 30 years, and in my married life of 7.5 years I've moved what 12 times this summer? UGH! And sadly, I know I am no where near done! The plan here is once DH gets this branch of the business of the ground and doing well, we are moving to another city in FL, I believe the next one is Destin/Panama City and so and so forth.

BUT I can tell you this-I do NOT have ANY clutter in my home. Everything in this place I use or will use soon. The only thing I really have that I don't use are the old kids' clothes (just in case I get preggers again I am NOT buying new clothes, OR until my sister starts popping kids out )

I am pretty good now about where to get boxes, what to pack first, I can be completely packed in probably a week and a half and completely unpacked in about 3 days!

Not NEARLY as many times as YOU have!

1st - age 9 from mom's house to grandparents.
2nd - age 26 from grandparents (long, funny story) house to apartment.
3rd - age 27 - from apartment to BF's apartment
4th - age 27 - new house
5th - age 29 - another house
6th - age 34 - another house
7th - age 38 - this house (and we are looking to move -- need MORE room!)

I have not moved too much....thank goodness! I hate moving too!

Age 5: Moved to another city into a bigger house
Age 15: Moved within the same city to a bigger house that my dad's friend custom built
Age 18: Pregnant with DS and moved with soon to be DH into a townhouse
Age 21: Pregnant with DD and moved with DH to a 3 bedroom apartment in another city. Hated that apartment so we looked for a house after a month of living there.
Age 22: Moved to another city to our new house. Loved it there but after 3 years we had to move closer to DH's work
Age 25: Moved back to the city I was born in into our current house. We are looking to move into a bigger house very soon. After this move it will be a long time before we move again...probably not until the kids are out of the house.

2nd move- parents bought a business and moved us there (our house wasnt ready so stady 7 days while waiting ) -rental
3rd move - moved into single family home
4th move - parents business did well so moved us into a bigger home
5th move - got married and moved into apartment
6th move -had a baby and moved into a bigger apartment
7th move - moved in with family for a while (fancial)
8th move - moved into an apartment (living with family drove us nuts)
9th move - had another baby moved into a bigger apartment
10th move - moved into a small house (but it was ours)
11th move - moved into bigger house (had yet another baby)
12th move - moved into same size house better neighborhood
13th move - husband and I split - moved in with my parents with the kids -yes he kept the house.
14th move - kids and I moved into a dumpy house in a bad neighborhood (rented)
15th move - 3months later kids and I moved out of the dumpy house in the bad neighborhood into an apartment
16th move - My 5 sons and I moved out of the 2 bedroom apartment into a 4 bedroom house - that was a good day!
17th move - moved into another rental, one with a yard for the boys - lived there for 2yrs, got re-married.
18th move -6 months into marriage got divorced. Can you say R-E-B-O-U-N-D?
19th move - Moved to another state to start over
20th move- Met the man of my dreams and got married.
21st move - dh transfered
22nd move - move to another state
23rd move - dh transfered
24th move - dh passed away and lost house
25th move - moved to bigger house ... and that is where I am now.

Wow, new I moved a bit but never put it down.

I will have to move again, I know that, but I am not looking forward to it. I have topped your moving, but I am much older than you. Anyone move more?

Wow and I thought I moved alot, now I dont feel so bad lol, I want to move into a bigger house but trying to hold off until we get our credit up to buy a house, we are shy about 60 points... I even have some of my stuff still in boxes
