Sounds like your son had a great teacher.
When my DS was 3 he would cry every time I took him to preschool. He went two days a week from noon to 3:15. I asked them if he cried the entire time I was gone and they told me, "No, but 75% of the time."It was heartbreaking. What helped with him was his teacher made a little schedule and laminated it and kept it posted for him. Like a picture of a meal (lunch) and it would have a clock showing noon, then a picture of a swingset (recess), toys (playtime), snack, etc. and then finally a mom picture, along with a picture of what the clock would look like at 3:15. This helped alot that he knew and understood the schedule. He did really well until Christmas break and then after it started all over again.
She had to bring out the schedule again.
