Do you drink pop, coke, soda, etc?

I know that different regions of the US call soda pop different things.

At my house in Western Kansas, if we go somewhere for a fountain drink-we go for a "Coke"-no matter what brand of soda we get. At home, I'll ask DH is grab me a "pop" from the fridge.

How about you? What do you call it-where do you live?

In Michigan we (well, my family) calls it pop. When we lived in Florida years ago, everything was a coke.

Over here in NJ we (my family) call it soda...when out we ask for a Coke or Pepsi whatever they have on fountain

Never pop or soda - we call it by name. "Honey would you grab me a Dr. Pepper?" (Mt. Dew, etc.).

I grew up in MI calling it pop. When I moved to Boston, I called it soda while working in restaurants so people knew what I was talking about. I live in FL now and call it soda in public, pop at home.

we call it by its name too. or sometimes we just cal it drink. could you bring a drink to the party means bring a coke or pepsi
